Well, the new year is almost upon us and 2012 has been an interesting year in so many ways at Blu Planet. It has been an amazing year in terms of the variety of photography we have undertaken, and also a busy year.

Too many people to mention, but we would like to thank all our clients, businesses and other organisations we have worked with, fellow photographers we have collaborated and worked with, and many others - for helping to make 2012 such an interesting and successful year.

It has also been a year of highs and lows for our local area, with repeated bad weather bringing floods which affected local businesses and homes, along with national media attention (both good and bad) and even a visit from Royalty.

After the bad news came the positive, really showing what people pulling together can do. Much was done by so many people to help others through the challenges the floods brought. Valley of Lights and the HebdenSpirit Art Auction stand out for us in particular as examples of what a wonderful local community spirit we have in the Calder Valley.

Heres looking forward to the new people and new challenges that 2013 brings. Have a safe and happy new Year, and see you on the other side...
