Playing catch up again on blog posting I'm afraid, so will be starting an end of month summary on some of the great people and events have been shooting. I did get around to visiting an event on Sunday I've been planning on getting to for quite a while - my first Flat Track Roller Derby match - at North Bridge Leisure Centre, Halifax.

The bout between local lovelies the Bruising Banditas and the Whippin Hinnies from Newcastle seemed like a very hotly contested match (at least from my amateur viewpoint) though in the end the result went against the home team, going 195-86 to the Hinnies. All the officials were very friendly and helpful with advice about the sport, I was also very impressed how good natured the opposing teams were at the end. There was great camaraderie between all the players before and after the bout. You are a credit to your sport, ladies.
