Gibson Mill has to be one of the most well known historic buildings near Hebden Bridge, being a working cotton mill in the 19th century, a popular local tourist destination in the 1920's, and re-opening to the public as an attraction in 2005. It became a licensed wedding venue in 2008.

The Mill and its surrounding area known as Hardcastle Crags, is managed by the National Trust. Since its opening by Abraham Gibson in 1800, the mill has seen a lot of changes, but it has been restored to its former glory, including environmentally friendly additions including its own water and solar power regeneration and composting toilets!.

Our favourite wedding at Gibson Mill in 2011 had to be the big day or Rachel & Andy, who arranged vintage buses, a walk in the woods, and traditional pop and ice cream for everyone, before retiring to Heptonstall Bowling Club for a fantastic party to end the day.
